I have a passion for making art from vintage materials. I source my materials from flea markets and antique fairs, such as ornate gold frames and discontinued wallpaper sample books, breathing new life into the old. I have created a collection of original paintings and screen prints in this style and the collection is constantly evolving as I find new treasures.
These paintings are primarily of animals that are seen as ‘lower forms’ (foxes, chickens, small birds, hares) and by placing them inside vintage ornate frames I am elevating their status into something to be cherished.
The frames are invariably grand and gold and the pieces become revered as treasure.Â
