One more year, Charlotte has worked with the Year 6 class to create an original artwork that the students will leave behind just as they leave for secondary school. This lovely mosaic will be this class legacy and will be placed in the school's foyer to greet all newcomers when the new school year starts in September.
Charlotte's work in schools and other public art projectsCharlotte has been involved for many years in the world of public art and has an innate passion for community art initiatives where she engages very diverse groups of people and facilitates a shared creative process. Charlotte was the artist-in-residence for a London Community Association for 10 years where she worked on several public art projects liaising with both councils and the local community.
Charlotte has also worked in schools and galleries as an artist educator since 2000 when she initiated the Mill Lane Bridge painting project. She thrives in an educational environment, specialising in teaching environmental awareness and the fragility of our planet through creative art projects whilst focusing on high quality artistic processes and outcomes. As part of her work with schools, Charlotte often creates murals or mosaics as this latest example 'Welcome' or 'Work Together, Achieve Together', an earlier project shown below.
